In the spirit of the Wise Woman Tradition, I have deeply invested myself in mentoring younger women who have a passionate interest in birthwork. I owe a debt of gratitude to the healers, doulas, midwives, and teachers that led the way for me and choose to pay it forward by passing on valuable knowledge and skills to the next generation. I'm fortunate to be devoting a good amount of time training, educating and empowering three lovely young women in 2022. They will be accompanying me to prenatal and postpartum visits, consulting over questions and research, helping me to keep my herbal apothecary stocked and attending births when possible. I promise, you’ll adore them as much as I do.
Shannon Dent has a sweet presence and a passion for supporting families. I’m delighted to officially welcome her as my Apprentice after a handful of years of close friendship and mentoring. She originally moved from upstate NY to be my nanny and help me juggle life on-call with 4 kids. She has completed doula trainings and has extensive experience offering postpartum support and a keen interest in homebirth midwifery. 🌼 🌸 🌼

Mckenzie Haibt is a senior student at Queens University of Charlotte, completing an internship for her Bachelor's in Health Sciences. She's originally from a small town in North Carolina and eager to pursue an ABSN in Nursing that will eventually lead to a Master's in Midwifery. She'll be learning all the ins and outs of birthwork by tagging along with me to visits and completing the required reading and research for a doula certification.
I am always happy to connect with aspiring and new birthworkers. Please inquire for future internships and apprenticeship opportunities.
